As a leader and consummate disruptor in all forms of entertainment, it’s not surprising that Ted Farnsworth is also an accomplished film producer. Within MoviePass’s subsidiary MoviePass Films, Ted served as an executive producer for many major movies, including the Bruce Willis flick 10 Minutes Gone, and Gotti starring John Travolta.

In August 2020, Ted announced a three-picture deal between Fortress Entertainment Group, his current production company, and Damascus Road Productions, owned by Ryan O’Quinn. O’Quinn is a filmmaker with a strong following within the faith-based audience, and is known for producing family-friendly movies with uplifting, positive messages.

Ted has said, "We are looking forward to our association with Damascus Road Productions. We believe that their background in the faith-based movie sector is the perfect fit and we look forward to a long-term relationship and many more movie projects."

The three films Ted will be producing will center on different aspects of World War II and the Holocaust, telling stories of courage, resilience and triumph of the human spirit. The first film, Resolve, will be an action/adventure movie depicting the true story of a band of soldiers in the Philippines lead by Clay Conner Jr., who evade capture by the Japanese, spend almost two years in the jungle, and play a pivotal role in the eventual Japanese surrender.

The films have a sizable budget, estimated to cost between fifteen to twenty million each. Syracuse, Utica and Little Falls have all been scouted for locations, and Ted has cited his roots in rural Fulton County as his desire for filming there---as well as the New York film tax credit. Filming and principal photography is set to begin as early as Summer 2021 if Covid-19 restrictions allow, and there are plans for simultaneous production in upstate NY, Los Angeles, and the Philippines.

Distribution is set to be through Smith Global Media and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment for output deals, including theatrical release, DVD, VOD, SVOD, Cable TV and Digital.
